I've seen tons of people ranting and raving about this ice cream and I always wondered if it was just hyped up. Turns out its actually gelato. Now if you are like me, you are probably wondering what's the difference between ice cream and gelato? At first, gelato and ice cream pretty much tasted the same to me. But now, I can tell a distinct difference. Ice Cream has a heavy and rich texture. Gelato, on the other hand, has a soft and smooth texture.
Coming from the south, of course my mom and I gravitated towards the Southern Butter Pecan. It was only right! We both took a bite at the same time and had the same reaction. THIS STUFF WAS GOOD! REALLY GOOD. I hate to say it but I think this gelato just gave Häagen Dazs Butter Pecan (my fav) a run for its money. It even comes with a screw top! Yup, this might be my new fave. The gelato is around $5 which isn't too bad considering I pay that much for a cone of Marble Slab Ice Cream. Go try a flavor!
